About me
Erica is a former educator and co-owner of The Book Room, an independent bookstore in Wilkesboro, NC. With a passion for literacy, creativity, and community engagement, she works to create spaces where stories can be shared and celebrated.
She is the creator of Voices of Home, a community-based publishing project that brings together writing, art, and photography from local contributors into a professionally printed book. Through this work, Erica developed a practical, accessible approach to publishing that can be applied to classrooms to elevate student voice and engagement.
